Inspired by Brenda

I have a friend whom I haven't seen in a long time. I get to see what she is up to through Facebook and Pinterest. She's creative and interesting. Adventurous. She inspires me. Not too long ago, she posted pictures on Facebook about a chair she is reupholstering. And it got me thinking.

I have a chair that I love. It once belonged to my Granmother. It's comfortable. The shape speaks to me. But. But, it has seen better days. Much better days. Even the slip cover that I made for it has seen better days.

Scary, I know. One day this little gem will be reupholstered and find its true beauty. It's been waiting to be reupholstered for years and will have to wait a while longer. But, in the meantime, the seat got new foam and the slip cover got a little revamp.

Ah, much better. Still not perfect. Still not upholstered. But better. And now when I look at the chair, I am reminded of my Grandmother and inspired by Brenda.

I'm linking up to It's Not Perfect But It's Beautiful Party. You gotta love her philosophy - idhtbptbb - it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Thank goodness! Because nothing is perfect around here!

I'm also linking up to Beneath My Heart. This may not be the best project that I did this month, but it is the best project that I blogged about. What a rough month. No computer. Unexpected dead computer. Camera troubles. Hopefully that is all behind me! Bring on March!
